When I bought my house a few years ago, this poor rose bush was so pitiful. One of my friends was ready to cut it completely down when I screamed, "OH NO don''t do that!" She said, "Nancy it is dead." I told her I would revive it. I must have felt like I had suddenly grown a green thumb as I never was into plants, flowers, etc.
Here are a few flowers from that very bush. They remind me of the old-fashioned roses my Grandmother had. If you know the name please let me know

Isn't it funny how, at times, we can believe there is no life left in something, only to discover it just needed a bit of TLC? Your roses ARE beautiful and do look like an older variety.
